Room

I was given a City View Suite for my stay here at The Ritz-Carlton, Coconut Grove. First things first, that bathroom was breathtaking! Top to bottom marble with a full shower, bathtub and little area for the toilet that could be closed off and I obviously had to draw myself a bath immediately. I had a balcony that overlooked the city of Miami and to the right I could see the bay which gives you an excellent view of the entire area. By the time i arrived to my room i was exhausted and needed to rest a little before continuing to explore. When i turned on the TV and began to look for something to watch i noticed they had Netflix incorporated into the TV already. It was a wrap! I was so excited! The hotel consists of 115 guest rooms and suites. Each has a balcony and floor to ceiling windows.

Pool

Me being me had to of course get my tan on. The pool is located on an upper level of the hotel. You walk up elegant stone steps past a gorgeous water fountain to reach the pool. The pool is beautiful with plenty of lounge chairs to go around and a few cabanas as well. They also offer water and sunscreen so you don’t shrivel up in the Miami sun! There is a full bar in the back with a waiter that comes around to take your order for an ice cold cocktail or if you’re hungry you can order off the menu and have some lunch.

Things to Do

The Ritz-Carlton, Coconut Grove is located not to far away from downtown Miami and Biscayne Bay. There’s plenty to do around the hotel to keep busy rain or shine. Whether you’re a shopper or adventure seeker there’s something for everyone.

Coco Walk

Upon arriving to the hotel I was starving and needed to be fed before i got hangry. I wasn’t sure what i was in the mood for or what was around so i asked the front desk what was good and close. They told me about a place called Coco Walk that was right down the block that had shopping and a fair share of restaurants. It was raining so i called an uber and was on my way to get some grub! I didn’t believe the lady at the front desk when she said it was literally right up the block, the uber drove less than a mile before telling me we arrived. It’s a quaint little shopping center with stores, places to eat and a movie theater, perfect place to go to kill time while it was raining. Nothing good was in theaters so I went to Cheesecake Factory to fill my belly! By the time i was finished eating the rain had stopped and it became a beautiful day to walk. I decided to ditch the uber and walk back to the hotel which took less than ten minutes.

Wynwood, Miami

For all of you creative souls out there Wynwood, Miami is a must go. Only 16 minutes away from The Ritz-Carlton, Coconut Grove there’s no excuse to miss out on the beauty of Wynwood. Also known as Wynwood Art District is block after block covered with paintings and art and beautiful creations that catch your eye. The streets are brimming with people taking pictures and admiring the artwork . They are all walking in and out of the many many art galleries and museums; I was speechless by some of the drawings and had to take pictures myself since It was all amazing and something id never seen before. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants to stop in and get a quick drink or bite to eat. If you’re up for it you can even take a food tour or art tour around the area.
