The calendar has crossed into September and although it’s technically not Fall just yet, it officially marks the beginning of the cool and cozy season for me.

Late summer is usually when I start combing through all of my favorite retailers for their fall fashion line ups and Abercrombie is always on my list. I’ve mentioned it before in previous posts and on my Instagram that I am a long time fan of their casual and classic styles, their reliable denim, as well as their trendy pieces that are done just right.

This year is no exception and I made sure to pick up some items to add to my fall wardrobe. I stuck with some solid basics that offered some trendier details like this color block pullover sweatshirt. Anything camel colored this time of year is always a fave, and combined with their “comfy AF” fabric, it made it a solid winner for me.

I snagged one of their drape front cardigans and this super soft oversized chenille sweater, but I was most excited for this puff sleeve animal print crewneck. Also oversized for a more relaxed fit, the puff sleeves and pleating detail at the cuff dress up this casual basic and make the cozy at home look more pulled together. And need I say anything about the cute cheetah print? (My name was all over it!)

Lastly, I picked up this drapey trench coat in their “light brown” option. (They’re available in four other colors). I own a similar wool J.Crew car coat, but I was looking for a lighter transitional piece for when the temperature just starts to cool. The perfect color for fall, I love the drapey fit and the classic look of the double-breasted collar, and the adjustable tie at waist gives provides a more defined silhouette than my more oversized/boyfriend fit car coat.

I’m happy with all of my latest finds, all versatile pieces that will get plenty of wear this season. Living for these “cozy AF” sweatshirts, so may need to snag another or two!

  1. I just bought the puff sleeve crewneck from AF. Literally bought it while here at UCSF after emergency brain tumor surgery. Like, literally. Here 2 weeks, see the new HOS posts and had to buy something cozy to make myself feel better.
I love HOS. I can’t believe the surreal experience I’m having. New sweater new season….life is full of surprises. Surgery shmurgery bring on Fall 2020. 😝

  2. Abercrombie has really stepped up their style game. I’ve loved the pieces they offer the past few years! I need to get myself some cute items from their store!

  3. All of these outfits and combinations are so cute and absolutely perfect for fall! I love sweat weather and all of these sweaters and cardigans are so cute!
