It’s been a while since I shared some home decor inspo with spaces I personally styled in my own home. To be fully transparent, renting an apartment in New York has made it difficult to decorate with so many limitations on what you can do as a tenant and no options for renovating at all.
With that being said, as most of you know, I purchased my first ever property in Florida earlier this year. Yep, that’s right, I’m officially a home owner! Now to be clear, even though I took the leap, the whole process was still very intimidating so I opted to purchase a condo in lieu of a traditional single family home; biggest reason being I didn’t want the added maintenance, especially with my busy lifestyle. Having said that, although I am sharing spaces from my current apartment in New York, I look forward to sharing so much more design and decor inspo. In fact I have already begun renovating my two bathrooms and fully decorated my balcony, both projects which I have already shared on IG so be sure to follow along on Stories there for continued progress and all the behind the scenes!
I took a snapshot of each of my main living spaces: my work area, living room and bedroom. To start, my work areas consists of stand alone furniture like shelving and garment racks. As a fashion blogger, I use these pieces to find outfit inspiration and organize outfit pieces and accessories. This area is forever changing since there is always a revolving door of fashion items!
Next up is my living room. Even though I am working with limited square footage, I opted for a large sectional because comfort is key! Since I work from home, it’s super important for me to have ample space to lounge and spread out, whether working on my laptop or binging some Hulu. Loads of plush throw pillows and blankets for all the cozy vibes. Since all is kept neutral, I make sure to keep a variety of textures for visual interest and a minimalist gallery wall breaks up the large wall space.
Lastly the bedroom; simple but cozy. More of the same here with a plush neutral palette keeping things looking tranquil and serene. I love the look of an upholstered headboard, further softening the space. I like to mix in a couple of natural elements; a woven basket tray, as well as some faux plants and greenery.
Aside from my larger furniture pieces, the majority of my decor is comprised of budget friendly finds from Amazon, Walmart, Target and a few others, and most all can be found in linkable carousels below!
