Summer is coming! Memorial Day is here and that means only a few more weeks until it is officially Summer. It’s time to put away the dull winter colors and welcome in the bright and playful ones. My goal this summer is to try and wear as many colors and prints as possible! I love experimenting with new styles and creating my own looks. Florals, geometrics, plaid, and stripes are my favorites. I love the different styles and shapes they each give off and how they each make me look different. Fashion trends recently have made a drastic change. Designers are taking more risks with their designs but I’m certainly not complaining. The print trend is happening everywhere now. Floral seems to be making the biggest impact. The runways for Summer/ Spring are overflowing with it. Luisa Beccaria’s Spring/ Summer line left me speechless. It is absolutely stunning! The colors are bright yet neutral but gives you that summer/spring feeling. Her prints make a statement but aren’t too overwhelming. My favorite look right now is the Bow Back Blouson Romper by Sentimental NY. It has a palm tree leaf print on it that isn’t too much but makes a statement as well. It’s super lightweight and perfect for those hot summer days. You can wear it on a night out or to Sunday Brunch with endless mimosas. The back is open with an elegant flowy bow. I usually am not a huge fan of rompers but this one is different. It fits on my body and hugs my hips while still being lose. Its sleeveless with a mock neck that ties in the back. Pair it with heels for a more sophisticated look or maybe a pair of converse for a more casual one. This is the first of my summer trends. I figured I would start out on the safe side before really making a statement with some more elaborate prints. I have a thing for leopard and I can’t wait to bring it out! Now if you don’t mind, I’m going to take a trip to Nordstrom’s to fill my closet.
