Hotel:

The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne

There is a reason I keep coming back to Miami, The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne is definitely one of the new reasons I might be visiting even more, next to visiting my super fabulous blogger friend Bisous Brittany. This time around for Brittany’s wedding, I had the pleasure of staying at the breathtaking The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne in Miami. This beachfront getaway was everything I could imagine and more. The grounds are absolutely stunning and the oceanfront views from the room are even better. The hotel has two outdoor heated pools and a whirlpool. For those of you who prefer to do things on the beach besides catch some rays, The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne offers windsurfing, sailing and kayaking. They also have the largest Tennis Center of any Ritz-Carlton. Offering a whopping 11 courts designed by the legendary Cliff Drysdale you should be able to score a court.  Personally I prefer to soak up the sun next to the pool while sipping on something cold but hey that’s just me! The hotel is located twenty minutes from Miami International Airport with easy access to downtown, South Beach and other attractions in Miami.

The Room:

At The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne I was lucky enough to stay in the Club Island View room which gave me a gorgeous island view to wake up to. I was on the 10th floor so I had a clear view of the island and hotel grounds. The bathroom was ginourmous with a full bath and shower with beautiful marble as the interior of the bathroom.  The bed was king size so I had plenty of room to stretch out and keep up with my Grey’s Anatomy. I also had access to the Club Lounge which was located on the 9th floor, nice and easy for me to get to. The Club Lounge is an exclusive lounge that offers a multitude of food and drinks throughout the day. Depending on what time you go to it, depends on the type of foods being served. They offer the normal breakfast lunch and dinner array, but they also offer offer a snack buffet and chocolate buffet that is guaranteed to satisfy that sweet tooth. It is all laid out so elegantly and smells delicious. You can watch the sunset on the balcony with a full view of Key Biscayne and Biscayne Bay. This is the perfect upgrade for any drinkers out there. Included in the club level is unlimited beer and wine.

Food:

Cantina Beach

If you are in Miami and you are looking for a nice casual quiet beach front view well look no further. For lunch one day I had to try out Cantina Beach at The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne. While sitting outside enjoying the gorgeous views of the ocean my stomach was being filled by Mexican deliciousness. I had to order a little of everything to please my taste buds. Everything was amazing but the steak quesadillas were definitely my favorite. Cantina Beach is located next to the family pool in the back part of The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne.

The smells are heavenly and seeing all that beautiful fresh guacamole coming out of the kitchen doors isn’t a bad sight to see. I also had to have my fair tasting of their rated R menu. I started off by ordering a Frozen Lemonade with Grey Goose and Yes, it was to die for! It was too good so I ordered something else so I wouldn’t guzzle down three more of the frozen lemonades. For all of you tequila lovers out there, Cantina Beach at The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne has the largest 100% Agave tequila collection in Miami offering an astonishing 110 of the finest tequila selections. The service was first-class living up to the famous Ritz Carlton name. The price for meals are mostly around $30 for entrees, $17 for appetizers and about $17 for cocktails. This place is more of the laid back beach vibes so make sure to leave those 7” stilettos in the room like I did and throw on those sandals and beach shorts. I had my fair share of the menu and in reality I didn’t even scratch the surface. Next time I return to Miami I have my heart set on trying the nachos with a side of frozen lemonade of course!

Spa & Fitness:

As most of you know i was in Miami to attend a wedding and my nails were in desperate need of a manicure. I entered the 25,000 square-foot spa and instantly wished i made an appointment for some treatments besides just a manicure.  It was beautiful! The staff and service were completely up to par. I got my usual white on my nails was on my way to try and find time to squeeze a treatment in!  As you all know, I don’t believe in going to the gym but The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne has a decently large gym to please all of you gym rats.

Sports:

If I continue to stay at the Ritz-Carlton I am going to need to learn how to play tennis. Each time I stay I tell myself I am going to try it out but never do. If I stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne location again though, I will be forcing myself to give it a whirl since they offer 11 gorgeously designed courts to learn on. The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne is two minutes away from one of the premiere golf resorts in Miami. It was voted “Top 100 Golf Resorts”. Named Crandon Golf Key Biscayne, it has been recognized as one of America’s Top 75 upscale courses by Golf Digest. All you golfers out there need to get on this!

Water Activities:

For those days where the sun is blazing strong, shoot over to the beach or pools to cool down a little. The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne has two pools, a family/kid pool and an adult pool. They also have the beach to lay out in the sand or take a dip in the Bay. You can also be adventurous and chose to go windsurfing, kayaking or surfing.
