Shows

Paul Costelloe

Paul Costelloe’s Spring 2017 catwalk presentation was the rejuvenation of linen. He brought out his Irish roots for a show that was filled with linen pieces. These white and sand colored dresses and coats dominated the collection. Despite the traditional fabrics, there was nothing old fashioned about the show, which included wide legged linen trousers, party dresses and mid length coats.

Belstaff X Liv Tyler

The Liv Tyler collection by Belstaf captured the vibes of the English countryside at the end of the 60s. The palette reflects the summer countryside taking a cue from Liv’s break out film Stealing Beauty by Bertolucci. Tyler designed a line of light, feminine separates, military inspired and tough girl leather jackets. When she was talking about the line she created she had said ‘ I really designed everything for myself and for all my friends.’

Where To Get Macaroons

Laduree Cornhill

The sight of this place full of macaroons in the window can put a smile on any ones face. Their macaroons are the best I’ve had to date and I never knew that they can taste this good. This is the perfect spot to get away from the busy London streets and have a pot of tea and a macaroon. They have a wide variety of tea flavors as well as many macaroon flavors to choose from. They are a little pricey and a bit of a tourist trap but worth every cent. If you buy the macaroons individually they are about £1.80 but if you buy the 6 pack like I did with the gold foil box its around £14. They say they charge more for that pretty boxing.

What I Wore

If you want to try something creative, original, and elegant to wear to London Fashion Week or for any special occasion then I recommend to wear a cape dress. This Lavish Alice cape dress is a one stop piece that pulls together a completely chic and sophisticated look. I was definitely in search for a  stand out look for shows and this dress was just it. This simple black cape dress is so easy to style and jazz up. Throw on your favorite statement necklace and festive statement heels and you are ready for a night out looking like a stylish superhero!

I had so much fun dressing up for London fashion week and this maxi dress was one of my favorite looks. I was going to be wearing this outfit for a while I wanted to feel comfortable throughout the day. Maxi dresses are perfect all year round since they are so comfortable, flattering and so versatile. They’re easy to add  or hide layers with which makes it the perfect transitional piece for the fall months. To spruce up my plain maxi dress I put on a moto jacket and some fun mirrored sunnies. A huge thanks to Jeff Moore for snapping a picture of me in this look and putting it into the  Evening Standard in the United Kingdom.

Where To Stay

Ibis Styles Heathrow

After 5 days of running around NYC for NYFW I only had a day in between to pack and get ready to head to London for London’s fashion week. In that one day I was so frantic trying to fit everything in that I barely slept and was so tired. My flight took off to London at 10 am and landed at 10 pm so you can imagine that I didn’t want to have to travel the distance into the city center to just get a quick sleep. Thank the lord I booked the Ibis Styles Heathrow hotel since it was only about a quick ten minute drive from the airport instead of a long 45 minute drive into the city center. I was so grumpy and tired and just wanted a quick place to stop over before heading into the heart of London. It was my first time staying at this hotel and I am so happy I picked this location. This hotel is perfect to stay at if you arrive late or leave early from Heathrow. We got in by 12am and headed into London by 8 am just the perfect hotel for a quick stopover. The rooms are very quite, large and clean with very comfortable beds. They offer a very nice continental breakfast with a variety of options as well as free internet which we all know I can’t live without. Definitely a great value for your money.

Novotel London Wembley

I have never stayed in the Wembley area so it was fun to see a new area of London and I had a great view of Wembley stadium. If you are going to events at the stadium well look no further for a room that you will be sure to love. The hotel door is right outside the stadium so the convenience is amazing. The staff was so friendly and willing to go the extra mile for everything. They offered an amazing breakfast buffet every morning in the dining area with a variety of baked goods as well as a full english breakfast. I was so jet lagged one night that I didn’t want to go out for dinner so we decided to order in room service. It came very quickly and everything was cooked to perfection. The Novotel is absolutely excellent and a great value for your money. This is a new and modern hotel with really comfortable beds to get as much needed sleep as I could get. If you are looking to do tourist things well then it’s only about a 35 minute train ride to central London and the nearest train station is about a 5 minute walk.

Sofitel London St James

After staying 3 nights in Wembley we decided to move closer to the action of LFW and head to the Sofitel St James which is much closer to all the action. I was so happy to be within a ten minute walking distance from shows and events. I have stayed at many hotels before and I was amazed at how friendly and attentive all the staff was. They payed attention to literally every detail. Even the toilet paper in our room smelled like vanilla. They don’t  cut any corners or skip a beat here! If you are into designer fashion like I am well each room has Hermes shampoos and conditioners. How cool is that? I obviously brought them home with me whatever I didn’t use. When I run out it means it’s time to visit again for more! Breakfast was another wonderful treat that consisted of A la carte baked goods and pastries with an amazing spread of actual real fresh fruit and not just your basic melons and grapes. They had fresh grapefruit, cut peaches, pomegranate seeds, kiwi and much more! If you know me, you know I LOVE room service. We were so tired most nights that room service was a must. If you stay at the Sofitel make sure to order the fries. They were thin cut salty goodness just how I love them. I am not one to work out but if you like a good workout then have no fear. The hotel offers an amazing gym that you can use for free as well as a spa which you can pay to have services done. If you are looking for a hotel in a great location that is central to all tourist sites, shops, theatre and restaurants well look no further. This hotel is a class act all the way. A huge thanks to Sofitel for hosting my stay!

  4. I really enjoyed seeing all of your Insta posts babe! I’m hoping next year I’ll be at NYFW, because I’d love to be a part of the action and see all the beautiful inspiration myself. While I love seeing it on Snapchat and Insta stories, it’s better in person I’m 100% sure about that 😉 xx adaatude.com
